On the 8th of June, I will be running the Skye Half Marathon, in memory of my brother-in-law, Joel McDiarmid.

This will be my first Half Marathon I have ever run, and I think Skye is the perfect location for it! The Isle of Skye is the largest and northernmost of the major islands in the Inner Hebrides, and home to some of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. Renowned for its strong community, friendly welcome, and a race run on closed roads, the Skye Half Marathon is described as a bucket list race! This year will be the 40th Anniversary of the Isle of Skye Half Marathon, first starting in 1983.

Every step I take in the Isle of Skye Half Marathon is a testament to Joel's enduring presence in our lives and the lives he touched. Your generous contribution will not only honour his memory but also make a meaningful difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges.
