This is your space to share special memories, stories, photos, and videos as well as raising vital funds that will help people in Scotland who need support with their mental health. Family, friends, and colleagues can support your tribute page through donations or taking part in fundraising events, bringing everyone’s support together in one place.

What is On Our Minds?

On Our Minds is a free-to-use tribute page, which you can set up to collect charity donations for SAMH in memory of a loved one.

What is a tribute page?

A tribute page is a way to collect donations for charity in memory of a loved one. In this case, donations from tribute pages on this site support the work of SAMH and Scotland’s mental health.

How do I create an event or fundraising page for an existing tribute page?

Navigate to the tribute page you want to fundraise for, then click the big blue ‘Fundraise in memory of’ button.

What is SAMH?

SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) is Scotland’s mental health charity. We’re here for your mental health and wellbeing, providing local mental health support and always accessible information.

Do I have to pay to set up a SAMH tribute page?

No, a SAMH tribute page is free to set up. We’d be grateful if you use your page to raise funds for SAMH, in memory of your loved one.

How do I set up a SAMH tribute page?

Go to the On Our Minds home page and click on ‘create a tribute page’. Then follow the instructions to set up an account and your page.

Can I set up a SAMH tribute page to raise funds for another charity?

On Our Minds is for people who wish to remember their loved ones who also wish to be connected to or raise funds for SAMH.

We are unable to split proceeds raised through a tribute page with another charity, sorry.

If I make a donation, can I keep the amount I give private?

Yes. When you make a donation, just tick the box to keep your donation amount private.

Can I leave a message or photo on someone’s tribute page without giving any money?

We ask that a donation is given with any message to raise vital funds for SAMH.

Do I have to give a target for raising funds on a tribute page?

No, it’s optional to set a target.

If people make donations on my tribute page, what percentage will reach SAMH?

100% of the donations you received will go to SAMH, minus any credit/debit card transaction fees. SAMH has created On Our Minds to ensure that all of the donations come directly to us.

Can Gift Aid be applied to the tribute page donations?

Yes. When you’re making the donation, you’ll be given the opportunity to apply Gift Aid, so just tick ‘yes’. Make sure to read Gift Aid statement to check that you’re eligible.

How can I tell my family and friends about my SAMH tribute page?

When you set up a page, you will have a unique ‘URL’ (a web page link) that you can easily forward to friends and family, or share on social media.

What can I add to the tribute page once I’ve set it up?

You can add photos and stories to share with everyone – please do consider that your tribute page may be seen by any member of the public, and also keep in mind our terms of use.

You can also connect as many fundraising event pages as you like, so that all of the donations add up to make a grand total.

How will SAMH use the donations?

The money you raise ensures we can be there for Scotland’s mental health. SAMH provides services, care and support to people with mental health problems, and projects for children and young people’s wellbeing.

Your donations help us provide reliable and accessible information, and fund our campaign and policy work to drive positive change for Scotland’s mental health.

How do I change the tribute page once I’ve set it up?

If you’d like to change any of the photos or writing that you’ve included on your page, you just need to click ‘Edit my page’ after you log in.

Can I add offline donations to my tribute page?

Yes. All you need to do is add this amount by clicking ‘Edit my offline fundraising’. Then scroll towards the bottom of the form and enter your offline amount.

If you’d like individual offline donations to appear under ‘Latest Donations’, we can arrange this for you. Just email [email protected] with the details.

How do I send the donations from my tribute page to SAMH?

There is no need for you to do anything. We receive the donations directly from your On Our Minds page.

How can I donate in memory if I don’t want to set up a SAMH tribute page?

You can donate online at donate.samh.org.uk , or you can send a cheque, payable to SAMH, to; SAMH supporter care team, Brunswick House, 51 Wilson Street, Glasgow, G1 1UZ.

If you send a cheque, please remember to include your name, address and the name of the person in whose memory you are donating.

How do I get help with a donation problem or with a refund?

How can I delete my page?

If you’d like to close down or delete your SAMH tribute page, please contact us and we’ll be able to do this for you. You can email us at [email protected].
