Fundraise in memory of Michael Gallagher

Our adored son, brother, uncle and friend, Michael, devastatingly lost a long battle with mental illness and took his own life. 


We have created a fundraiser in memory of Michael for the invaluable work of SAMH - Scottish Action for Mental Health. 


In a time where Scotland's mental health is as bad as it has ever been SAMH are dedicated to "Taking Action. Creating Change".  With a driving focus on people and communities they are expanding their reach to support more people with mental health problems and mental illness than ever before. They are also demanding that the mental health system in Scotland is changed as it is no longer meeting the needs of the people it was set up to help. 


Anyone who knew Michael will know that he was a fierce advocate of social justice and was passionately invested in creating positive change in Scotland. 


Thank you for anything you can donate.

    I’ll never forget the first day of rehearsals in May of last year when Micheal joined our APOS family. He kindly approached me in conversation and almost instantly we were sharing our love of Star Wars and all things movie, music and theatre related. I made a fond and close friend that day. Although we were only friends for a short time, I will always remember our great times shared together, cinema trips, long walks and a blether or just simple messages asking how each other’s day has been. He always so kind, caring and supportive and he would do all he could to brighten your day. He always used to find ways to cheer you up if you were down. Micheal is a true hero for that and I will miss him dearly. To Micheal’s family, I want to send the biggest hugs and lots of love to you all just now. My thoughts and prayers are with you. 💖 And lastly to Micheal “May the force be with you, always” 🤍💫
